In science Year Two have been learning about animals and their habitats. We learned about how they adapt to their surroundings and explored some of the animals living in the playground, discussing the advantages and the dangers they face.

In reading we have been looking at non-fiction texts and read about penguins. We found out so many amazing facts and decided to make a documentary. Documentaries are non-fiction television programmes because they are about real things and give us lots of information. We used our literacy lessons to write about the life of a penguin, using a BBC video. Everyone chose part of the video to describe. Next we practised reading our parts and chose some music to go with our narration. Do you recognise any of the music we have chosen?
