Geography

In DT we explored food and different tools. We explored ways we can use tools. We used knives, graters, juicer, spoons and peelers. We really enjoyed using the tools safely to make a fruit salad. At the end of the lesson, we got to enjoy our fruit salad. We also looked at healthy eating and how to stay fit by exercising.

Literacy

In Literacy we have been writing non-chronological reports. We learnt about the features of a non-chronological report and what their purpose is. To prepare our report we looked at the different parts of the school and wrote about what Curwen Primary School has to offer. We also learnt about capital letters, full stops, plurals and conjunctions to make our writing interesting.

Maths

In maths we used cups to add and used the Maths table to add a one digit number to another one digit number. We had to count the correct number of cups from the Maths resource table and place them onto the Maths table. When adding we had to say ‘get ready to get some more’ and use hand actions. When we place the additional cups we say ‘how much is there here?’ and use hand actions.
