A bright-eyed group of student representatives from Curwen Primary School recently traded the classroom for the grand halls of the Houses of Parliament. The School Council members embarked on a special trip to London to delve into the heart of British democracy and explore the rich history of Parliament.

Their day began with a guided tour led by a Parliament Education Officer. The tour weaved through the iconic Palace of Westminster, showcasing the awe-inspiring chambers of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The students witnessed first-hand the hallowed spaces where crucial debates and decisions are made that shape the nation.

But the learning went far beyond just seeing the sights. The tour incorporated interactive elements, allowing the School Council to engage with the democratic process.
