On Wednesday 5th June, a group of year 5 children had the opportunity to attend the MLB First Pitch Festival and participate in a variety of Baseball activities at the London Marathon Community Track.

The festival was truly a celebration of baseball, with the children learning the fundamentals of the sport by trying their hand at batting, pitching, catching, throwing and base running. They thoroughly enjoyed working with the MLB coaches at each station and loved interacting with the two mascots of the New York Mets team.

This unique experience was further enhanced with all the children in attendance being given their very own Baseball cap, shirt, bat and ball.

It was great to see all the children taking part with such enthusiasm and we hope that the event will inspire them to keep playing baseball!
