Curwen Primary School

Year 6 Fairplay House

What a fantastic few days 6S and 6B had at FPH!!!

From the devilishly high high ropes to the mysterious caves, not forgetting the adventures of the woodland games and the exhilarating 3G swing, Fair Play House had it all.

Although there were some tears along the way, each and every child has represented themselves, their families and the school in the most outstanding manner. We are really proud of what the children have achieved during their time in Essex.

We have seen children (and teachers) conquer their fears, make new friendships and build their confidence across a range of activities. As well as this they have shown resilience and determination to achieve the impossible.

This is what some of our pupils had to say about their experience:

'I had an amazing time at FPH. I learnt to encourage others and myself. I'm so glad I faced my fears, especially going from the top on the 3G swing.' - Eliana 6S

'Our trip to FPH has taught me that the only thing to fear is fear itself. Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. That's why we should always try new thing and always try our best.' - Zainab 6S

'I tried things I've never tried before, things that previously I wouldn't have even bothered trying, such as, the high ropes as I have a fear of heights. I really feel that I've grown in confidence since going to FPH.' - Selly 6B

It was a pleasure to spend this time with the children, getting to know them better and hopefully helping them relax in the run up to SATs.
