Congratulations to Maria (1K), Ama (3H), Saad (3B) and Tasnia (5P) who all represented Curwen Primary School at the recent Newham Spelling Bee competition. 

The competition was hosted by Elmhurst Primary School, with over 30 schools competing for a place in the finals. 

Despite some incredibly tricky words such as 'neurodegenerative' and 'superfluous', our children did us proud, scoring 22/24 spellings correctly. Narrowly missing out on a chance to reach the finals owing to a very tricky conundrum round. 

A huge thanks to all those children who worked so hard in preparation for the competition. Bring on Spelling Bee 2018!
