This was the children's first visit to Forest School this year and as such they needed to re-familiarise themselves with the rules and routines to ensure both their health and safety and the protection of the Forest School area and the wildlife within it. They were then able to explore the area and carryout some activities such as bug hunts with magnifying glasses; bird-watching, digging to see what they could find in the soil; making dens; researching what interests them about what they find; and even some mindfulness.
