For Kindness Week this year, the children learnt about ‘Speaking up’ and the importance of communicating any concerns or worries they may have with adults who care about them.

The importance of ‘speaking up’ was rehearsed and reinforced with keywords and phrases to help everyone understand just what they could say and do if something worries them. 

We also had a poster competition and a winner from each year's group was chosen by the schools HeadStart Champions and School Council. These are the winners from-the-year groups. All the posters are displayed around the school. 

Two girls from Year 6 performed a wonderful poem. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as they enjoyed writing and performing it.
