Remberance Day explorered through Art, Drama, Music and Poetry

To commemorate Remembrance Day on 11th November, Y6 performed an assembly to honour those who served in World War I and World War II, and subsequent wars since 1945.

This is short sample of Year 6 performing 'Arms of an Angel' by Sarah McLachlan:

Through the different mediums of art, drama, music and poetry, Year 6 remembered those soldiers, of whom many who gave their life, who fought  for their country during the great work. Highlights included poems, written by pupils of Year 6, signifying  the relevance of poppies on Remembrance Day and a short dramatisation of the play 'Oh! What a Lovely War.'
